Great picture. The bridge itself gives a feeling of movement to the whole piece. Excellent use of contrast and line. The focus gives a surreal feeling to the background as though there is some barrier or passage over the bridge itself. Well done.

the best part is it is one hundred percent REAL-what a cool place! I went there on purpose for this and came up with some nice images; here's another fooling around from yesterday's shoot: [link]

this tableau is of journey and separation,
The path is endless, but there is something- something to strive for.
- perhaps it has a structure, perhaps it's visible.. but maybe this dream is just a mirage..
It's only a reflection in the oasis.

i see :D you shift the colours a little bit - right? i like to reduce pics to b/w first and shift the colours manually that´s simple but effective .. and you´ve an pbase account :D have to go through your gallery :D :D

Yeah, I am very popular on pbase, but I can't bring myself to delete old stuff; well, I might ask you a question or two concerning RAW processing-I always shot jpg, but apparently RAW gives you more freedom.Or?!

Great way to put it; I love this place, will definitely go back-it looks surreal, and it is so close to where we live; also, I came across a ghostly house -and came up with this shot ( I took the opportunity to edit it HDR-wise and some more tweaking)[link] :sheepish:

i´m glad you can´t delete them :D :D there are some real unique pics, especially i love those old shots from rural life .. the people (f.e. the hunchbacked old woman), animals, landscape .. all of them .. (and of course the portraits). every time i see such pics i got remind on my own past and the pos. feelings i connect with that period in my life.

ad raw:
yes you´re right - for example HDR are simple to handle or one or two aperturenumbers up or down .. no problem! or the variable temp. of the colours .. you can set all of the postoperative :-)
